Effective August 5, 2026

Terms of use.

These terms apply to the BONKO Streamer desktop plugin, iOS/iPadOS companion, website, and optional external sharing route.

1. Provider and acceptance

BONKO Streamer is provided by Jan Philipp Joseph Bednorz (Phil the Beat). Provider details and contact information are available in the Impressum.

By downloading or using BONKO, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the software.

2. Free-use license

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use BONKO Streamer for its intended monitoring and listening purpose. You may use BONKO in personal and commercial music-production work.

You may not sell, sublicense, redistribute, reverse engineer, circumvent technical safeguards, or present BONKO as your own product except where applicable law expressly permits an activity that cannot be restricted.

3. Requirements and compatibility

The current macOS release includes 64-bit Audio Unit and VST3 plugins; the Windows release includes 64-bit VST3. It requires a compatible host and a supported iPhone/iPad companion build. Every router configuration and every third-party host are not promised by the current release.

System, DAW, network, Apple, Microsoft, GitHub, or third-party-service changes may affect operation. Current product information on the download and support pages forms part of the usage guidance.

4. Share Stream

External Share Stream is an optional beta feature. When you create a link, you are responsible for having the right to transmit the audio and for sharing the link only with intended recipients.

Do not use BONKO to transmit unlawful, infringing, confidential, or harmful material. Treat a share link as a bearer link: anyone with a valid active link may be able to listen. We may restrict abusive or unsafe use.

The external path relies on third-party tunnel infrastructure. Availability, latency, confidentiality, and uninterrupted operation are not guaranteed.

5. Updates and availability

We may improve, update, replace, suspend, or discontinue BONKO or a feature. A free launch release does not create an obligation to provide every future format, platform, feature, update, or support service.

Keep the original installer and project backups you reasonably need. Do not rely on BONKO as the sole copy, storage location, or archival route for audio.

6. Warranty and liability

Statutory rights that cannot be excluded remain unaffected. Within the limits permitted by law, BONKO is provided free of charge without a promise of uninterrupted, error-free, or universally compatible operation.

Liability is not limited for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, fraudulent concealment, guarantees expressly given, or mandatory product-liability rules. For ordinary negligence, liability is limited to breach of essential contractual duties and foreseeable typical damage, where such a limitation is legally permitted.

7. Privacy and third-party terms

The Privacy Policy explains the local audio route, optional external tunnel, support email, and website request data. GitHub, Apple, and localhost.run operate under their own applicable terms and privacy notices.

8. Governing law and changes

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections of their country of habitual residence.

We may update these terms for future versions or material service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Questions can be sent to info@phil-thebeat.com.
